Izzy Pingrey

At just 18 years old, New York City native Izzy Pingrey is using music as a diary to document her coming-of-age journey in real time. She first picked up songwriting at 13 during the loneliness of pandemic lockdowns, using it as an emotional outlet. Now a college student, Izzy’s confessional lyrics and energetic sound provide a vulnerable lens into the revelations and relationships of adolescence.

Izzy’s debut EP, junior, was well received on Spotify and YouTube and propelled a sold out show in New York City in March 2024. Her new release, “new york just for you,” shifts Izzy’s established style into a new kind of upbeat, exploring friendship trials and tribulations through a country-inspired guitar melody. Izzy explains: “new york just for you is a song I wrote after hearing that someone who is out of my life was speaking badly about me. The song is meant to be a tribute to what it feels like to know that you made the right decision to end a friendship.”
